Mumbai: big blow to tv industry, Popular TV actor Rasik Dave, husband of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ and ‘Balika Vadhu 2’ fame actress Ketki Dave, passed away on Friday due to kidney failure. Rasik Dave was affectionately called Rasik Bhai in the industry. He was worked in both hindi and gujarati serials. He has been a part of many popular TV shows like Sanskar Dharohar Apon Ki, CID, Krishna. He was on dialysis for the last 2 years but the last one month was very painful for him. 65-year-old Rasik breathed his last at 8 pm in Mumbai.
Rasik is survived by wife Ketki, a son and a daughter. Ketki’s mother Sarita Joshi and late father Praveen Joshi were theater directors. Ketki’s younger sister Purvi Joshi is also an actress. Rasik and Ketki Dave were running a Gujarati theater company together. Rasik started his career in 1982 with a Gujarati film.
Ketki-Rasik were seen in Nach Baliye
The name of the movie was Putra Vadhu. After this Rasik worked in many Hindi and Gujarati films. In 2006, Ketki and Rasik appeared together in the reality TV show ‘Nach Baliye’. As far as Ketki is concerned, she became popular by playing the role of Daksha in the TV show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. She has also been a part of Balika Vadhu Season 2.

Did the role of Nand Baba in Mahabharata
Rasik played the role of Karsandas Dhansukhlal Vaishnav in the TV show Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki. He played the role of Nand in the TV serial Mahabharata, which was aired on TV in the year 1980 and re-telecasted several times. On the death of Rasik, fans are paying tribute to him on social media.
