Lucknow: Big blow to Yogi-led UP govt, BJP’s UP President Swatantra Dev Singh has resigned. State President Swatantra Dev Singh has submitted this resignation directly to BJP President JP Nadda. The tenure of Swatantra Dev Singh ended on July 16. Now the discussions have started regarding the new state president. It is being told that the new state president will be announced in the next few days.

Let us inform that Swatantradev Singh is also the Minister of Jal Shakti in the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, he is also the leader of the Legislative Council. According to BJP sources, only Swatantra Dev Singh will remain in this post until a new state president is elected by the BJP. The workload will remain with him. It is being told that Swatantra Dev Singh has also returned the Fortuner car he got as the state president.

Swatantradev Singh will also be present as the state president in the training camp program to be held in Chitrakoot from 29 to 31. If sources are to be believed, there is a churning going on in the party in the name of two UP government ministers, one central government minister and two Brahmin faces regarding the new president.

The probable names
According to the sources, BL Verma and Bhupendra Chaudhary are said to be strong contenders. The names of Dinesh Sharma and Subrata Pathak are also in the race as Brahmin faces.
