Big relief to Rahul Gandhi from the court, got NOC for getting passport for 3 years

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has got relief from the court in the passport case. Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has given NOC to Rahul Gandhi for three years. Although Rahul Gandhi had demanded NOC for 10 years from the court, Subramanian Swamy opposed his demand saying that if Rahul Gandhi is given NOC in the new passport case, the investigation of the National Herald case may be affected. . Due to getting NOC, the suspense created on Rahul Gandhi’s visit to America has also ended.

Earlier, on Rahul Gandhi’s petition, Vaibhav Mehta, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) of Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court, after completing the hearing in the matter on Friday morning, reserved his decision till one o’clock in the afternoon. Later, the court approved the issuance of a passport with a validity of three years to Rahul Gandhi.

Giving the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for issue of normal passport, Magistrate Vaibhav Mehta said, “I am partially allowing your (Rahul Gandhi) application. Although it will not be for 10 years but only for 3 years.

Subramaniam Swamy said in his plea, “This is a special case. Passport should not be issued for 10 years. This is completely wrong.” He also said before the court that Rahul Gandhi’s citizenship is also under question as he has UK citizenship.

In the same court, Rahul Gandhi’s lawyer Tarannum Cheema said that issuing passport for 10 years is a normal process. As far as citizenship is concerned, the first thing is that the document he has attached for the court does not come under the category of criminal proceedings. We have not heard anything in this regard from the ministry since 2019. People involved in cases of serious crimes have been given passports for 10 years. It also includes 2G scam and many other types of cases.
