Baramulla: The Indian Army and joint security forces on Saturday foiled an infiltration attempt in Gohlan area of Uri in Baramulla District of North Kashmir. According to information received from sources, security forces have also succeeded in killing two terrorists near Uri. Both of them were trying to infiltrate. At present the encounter is going on between the security forces and the terrorists. At present, there is no information available about the killed terrorists. Security forces are busy identifying them.
The deployment of paramilitary forces has been started in Jammu and Kashmir for Amarnath Yatra. Jammu district has received 24 additional companies of paramilitary forces this time, which is five to six more than last year. For the first time, apart from being deployed on the route of Amarnath Yatra, halting places of pilgrims, langars and other places, paramilitary forces are also being deployed at those places where there is a possibility of any untoward incident taking place.
10 companies of paramilitary forces have reached Jammu, which have been deployed in Purani Mandi, Ram Mandir, Peerkho Mandir, Bhagwati Nagar base camp. Apart from this, soldiers have been sent on the entire highway from Purmandal Mor to Jhajjar Kotli. This includes the areas of Kunjwani, Gangyal, Siddada, Nagrota. Other companies will also reach in the next few days.
Apart from these additional companies, Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel will also be deployed. Apart from these places, police have identified some places in RS Pura, Suchetgarh, Akhnoor, Pargwal, Jyodian, Khaud, Arnia, Abdullian, Meeran Sahib areas which can be targeted by terrorists. Paramilitary forces have been deployed at these places. These include companies of ITBP, SSB, CISF.
