New Delhi: Shocking results of municipal elections have come out in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. Here the Aam Aadmi Party has won an unexpected victory in the mayoral election. AAP’s Rani Agarwal defeated BJP’s Chandra Pratap Vishwakarma by a margin of 9352 votes. This seat was earlier in the possession of BJP. AAP has demolished BJP’s fort. With this, AAP has become the first mayor in the state. She got total 34038 votes. On the second number was Chandra Pratap Vishwakarma of BJP, who got 24879 votes. Arvind Singh Chandel of Congress, who came third, had to be satisfied with 24670 votes. After 9 rounds of counting, Singrauli got a new mayor.
The newly elected Mayor of Singrauli, Rani Agarwal belongs to the Marwari family. Let us tell you that the contest for the post of mayor in Singrauli Municipal Corporation was being considered as triangular from the beginning. Rani Aggarwal also contested from Singrauli assembly in the year 2018. During that time he had to face defeat. Rani stood third in the assembly elections and got 32500 votes.
