In a significant development, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Bigg Boss 16 contestants Shiv Thakare and Abdu Rozik in connection with a money laundering case linked to Ali Asghar Shirazi’s Hustlers’ Hospitality. The ED has reportedly questioned Shiv Thakare as a witness in the alleged money laundering case involving the reputed actor and contestant of Bigg Boss 16.
Bigg Boss 16’s Shiv Thakare and Abdu Rozik Summoned by ED. Ali Asghar Shirazi, associated with Hustlers’ Hospitality Pvt Ltd., is believed to have financed various startups, including those of Shiv Thakare and Abdu Rozik. The company allegedly engaged in narco-funding for several projects, including Thakare Chai and Snacks, a food and snack brand, and a restaurant.
Abdu Rozik, Shiv Thakare’s co-contestant from Bigg Boss 16, also entered the fast-food startup scene with Burgiir, a burger brand, in collaboration with Hustlers Hospitality. It is reported that substantial investments from Ali Asghar Shirazi were made in Burgiir. However, both Shiv and Abdu terminated their contracts upon discovering Shirazi’s reported involvement in narco business.
Shiv Thakare and Abdu Rozik Summoned by ED in Money Laundering Case. During his statement to the ED, Shiv Thakare disclosed that he was introduced to Krunal Ojha, the director of Hustlers Hospitality, in 2022-23. Krunal offered him a partnership deal for Thakare Chai and Snacks, with Hustlers Hospitality making significant investments as per the contract.
