Biggest seizure ever! Delhi Police seizes drugs worth over Rs 1200 crore, 2 Afghan nationals arrested

Drugs worth about Rs 1200 crore have been seized by the Special Cell of Police in Delhi. There was a conspiracy by the accused to carry out terrorist activities.

New Delhi: Another case of drugs seizure came to fore from the national capital Delhi, the police have achieved great success. Here Delhi Police has taken a big action on Narco-Terror. Special Cell of the police seized drugs worth about Rs 1200 crore. It is being told that the money coming from selling drugs was to be used for terrorist activities.

According to the information received from the police, along with confiscating drugs worth 1200 crores, the police have also arrested two Afghan citizens. Police said that the first consignment of these drugs was brought from Chennai in Tamil Nadu to Lucknow and then to Delhi. Police said that the consignment of seized drugs contains 312.5 kg of methamphetamine and 10 kg of fine quality heroin.

HGS Dhaliwal, Special CP, Delhi Police, said the interrogation of the two Afghan nationals revealed the presence of over 312 kilograms of Methamphetamine worth Rs 1200 crore, in Lucknow.

“It is one of the largest seizures of methamphetamine drugs in the country’s history. Both Afghan nationals were living in India since 2016. Further interrogation had led to the recovery of 606 bags from a godown in Lucknow,” he said.

“Delhi Police Special Cell arrested two Afghan nationals and seized 312.5 kgs of Methamphetamine drug and 10 kgs of heroin from their possession. The total seized drug is worth more than Rs 1200 crores in International Market,” he added.

Surveillance was already on the accused

Talking in detail on the matter, the Delhi Police Special said that, under the operation, we have got 312 kg of methamphetamine. At the same time, there was already surveillance on both the arrested accused. He told that heroin was also recovered from Noida after interrogation of both the accused.

The Goa police have alleged BJP leader Sonali Phogat who died under mysterious circumstances was forced-fed methamphetamine.
