Aurangabad: 4 friends tried to commit suicide by eating poisoned food together in Kutumba police station area of Aurangabad district of Bihar. While two died, the other two are battling for life at a hospital in Gaya.
An official said, “The sisters consumed poisonous substances at home as they were upset over an issue. On learning of this, their two friends followed suit.” Among those who consume poisonous food are two young sisters. All girls are said to be between 18 and 20 years of age.
The family members rushed to the Aurangabad Sadar Hospital, where the doctors referred them to a higher center after seeing the seriousness of the situation. The family took all the girls to Magadh Medical College, but on the way one of the girls died. One of the two sisters died on the way to the Gaya. hospital on Sunday while one of their friends died at the facility on Monday.
The girl’s father said that he had no idea what the girls had eaten and why they had done it. Aurangabad sub-divisional police officer Mohammad Amanullah Khan said the family members of the women were being quizzed. “We are waiting for the women to recover to know the reason behind their actions. They are not in a condition to give a statement at the moment,” he added. This can be said after investigation.
