Patna: The people of Bihar, West Bengal and Jharkhand have got the gift of Vande Bharat train. The people of Bihar will be benefited the most. From April this year, three Vande Bharat Express trains will come and go via Bihar via Bengal and Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh. According to the information received, three Vande Bharat Express trains are likely to start on Patna-Howrah, Patna-Ranchi and Varanasi-Howrah via Gaya route.

3 New Vande Bharat Express Trains To Run Via Bihar
Three new Vande Bharat Express trains are going to start soon for Bihar. One of these will run between Patna to Ranchi, while the other will run on the Patna to Howrah route. On the other hand, the third high-speed train running from Bihar will operate between Varanasi and Howrah, which will go via Gaya.

Quoting a statement by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, a railway official said that Bihar has received a record allocation of Rs 8,505 crore in the Rail Budget for the financial year 2023-24 and 87 stations will be redeveloped in the state. Apart from this, a new rail bridge will be constructed parallel to the Rajendra bridge between Mokama and Begusarai.

According to the information received, in the Union Budget, Gaya-Bodhgaya-Chatra, Gaya-Natesar, Gaya-Daltonganj via Rafiganj, Rajgir-Hisua-Tilaiya and Natesar-Islampur, Bihta-Aurangabad via Anugrahanarayan Road, Araria-Galgaliya, Fatuha new rail lines. Money has been allocated for Rail lines will be laid at other places including Daniyawan-Biharsharif-Barbigha-Sheikhpura, Koderma-Tilaiya, Hajipur-Sagauli via Vaishali, Araria-Supaul, Sakri-Hasanpur and Chhapra-Muzaffarpur.

According to the railway official, a total of 57 projects worth Rs 74,880 crore are underway in Bihar. A total of Rs 238 crore has been allocated for gauge conversion, which includes Jaynagar-Darbhanga-Narkatiaganj, Sakri-Laukha Bazar-Nirmali-Saharsa-Forbesganj and Mansi-Saharsa-Madhepura-Purnia rail lines. According to Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Birender Kumar, Gaya station will be developed at a cost of Rs 296 crore, Muzaffarpur Rs 442 crore, Bapudham Motihari (Rs 221 crore) and Sitamarhi (Rs 262 crore).

Danapur Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Prabhat Kumar said that more than 15 railway stations of Bihar including Patna, Danapur, Rajgir and Jehanabad will be developed as world class stations. Rs 300 crore has been sanctioned for the Neora-Daniyawan-Sheikhpura rail section, which is likely to be completed in June 2024.
