Gaya: A major accident has taken place on the day of Holi in Bihar’s Gaya. Three members of the same family have been killed by cannon balls fired from the Army’s firing range in Gulerved village of Bumer Panchayat under Barachatti police station area of ​​the district on Wednesday. Three people have also been injured. His condition is critical. There is an army firing range in Dovi Block where artillery training is conducted by various companies of the army.

It is said that due to non-barricading by the army outside all the villages coming in the firing range, the cannon ball often falls away from the range and falls into the village. Such incidents have happened earlier also. Dozens of villagers have died in Barachatti block so far. On Wednesday morning, a cannon ball released from the firing range fell in the village. The sound of the shells was so loud that many nearby villages echoed.

Among the three people who died, there are three people from the same family. One women and two men have died. He died on the spot itself. At the same time, three people have been injured by sprinkle. He has been sent to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College Hospital for treatment. The dead include Govind Manjhi (25 years), Suraj Kumar (18 years) and Kanchan Kumari (45 years).

The villagers of the village adjacent to the firing range extract brass from the fired cannonballs. Even this has happened many times. Many incidents have happened due to cannon balls falling in the village. In relation to this incident, CT SP Ashok Prasad said that he has reached the spot after being informed. The entire matter is being investigated.
