RJD leader Awadh Bihari Chaudhary filed nomination on Thursday for Bihar Assembly Speaker. Lalu Yadav had brought Bihar to Bihar, six-time MLA from Sivan to Lalu Yadav, but Shahabuddin worked to polish his politics.
Bihar: After the political change in Bihar, the chair of the Speaker of the Assembly has gone to the account of RJD this time. RJD leader Awadh Bihari Choudhary on Thursday filed his nomination for the Speaker’s post, the second day after Vijay Kumar Sinha resigned from the Speaker’s post. During this, senior leaders of the Grand Alliance including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav were present.
The election of the new speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly will be held on August 26. Awadh Bihari Chaudhary will be the new Speaker of the Assembly. He will be elected unopposed on Friday. Apart from this, JDU MLC Devesh Chandra Thakur has been made the new chairman of the Legislative Council. He had filed his nomination on Wednesday itself.
Awadh Bihari Chaudhary was born on 17 August 1954 in a farmer family in Patwa, Siwan. His childhood has been spent in poverty, but has made his mark on the basis of his hard work and struggle. Lalu Prasad Yadav, who came from the Yadav community, brought Awadh Bihari into politics. He went ahead in politics by holding Lalu’s finger, but the political journey was sometimes ups and downs.
Awadh Bihari Chaudhary is also considered very close to Lalu Prasad Yadav. Awadh Bihari Chaudhary, 76, was elected MLA from Siwan in 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000 and in February 2005. Became MLA in 2020 also. He contested for the Speaker’s post in 2020, but lost the contest to Vijay Kumar Sinha. He has also been a minister in the Rabri government.
