The matter pertains to Marwari High School located in Sikandarpur OP under Nagar police station area of Muzaffarpur district. Police say that Ashutosh Shahi was a big land businessman of the city. At the time of the incident, Ashutosh Shahi was discussing a case at his advocate Dollar’s house. Then suddenly criminals in number of 6 entered the house and suddenly started firing rapidly. They started firing one by one at the five people present there.
Ashutosh Shahi bodyguards could not recover, so the attackers shot both the bodyguards as well. Ashutosh Shahi died on the spot while one of the bodyguards succumbed to their injuries in the hospital. The condition of the other bodyguard is said to be critical. Two other people including the advocate are admitted in a private hospital.
A land dispute is said to be behind the incident. Locals say that there were about half a dozen criminals on two bikes who carried out the incident. After this all fled towards Jagannath Mishra College. This incident has been carried out at the same place where former mayor of the city Sameer RD Kumar was gunned down by unknown criminals a few years back. Even then it was revealed that the murder was carried out over a land dispute.
