Patna: The posters of firing and extortion in the state capital have raised serious questions on the deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar. In yet another tragic incident, Four persons were injured in firing by chain snatchers during an attempted theft in Shastri Nagar area of Patna last night, a police official said on Thursday. He said that the matter is being investigated.
This incident is being told of Wednesday night. The matter is of Shastri Nagar area. Here chain snatchers have fired fearlessly. The police have been involved in the investigation of the case. The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Incident around one o’clock in the night
According to media reports, the incident took place around 1 am when 4 people, including a hostel operator, were on a scooty and a bullet and were returning home. Meanwhile, the miscreants sitting in ambush attacked them and sought peace from the woman. On this the people who were with the woman protested. After this the miscreants opened fire.
According to the information received, 4 people including the woman have been shot. The injured have been taken to the hospital in a hurry. Police has started looking for the criminals and CCTV is being scanned. At present, the condition of the four injured is said to be serious.
