Bihar: On Tuesday, 71-year-old Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar tests Covid positive. He, 71, has been suffering from fever for the past four days, According to the report.
As per source, on Monday Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was not present at the oath ceremony of President-elect Droupadi Murmu in the national capital. Before this in January this year, CM was tested positive of COVID and he was in isolation at home. This is second time, CM again tested covid-19 positive. In a tweet the CMO said, “The Chief Minister is in home isolation and doctors have advised him to take rest.” The Bihar chief minister asked people who recently came in contact with him to get themselves tested for COVID-19.
In last 24 hours, Bihar logged 355 new covid-19 cases and 810 recoveries. the number of active cases in Bihar came down to 1,850 on Monday from 2,305 on Sunday. Out of the 355 fresh cases, state capital Patna accounted for 94, followed by Saharsa with 57 new cases. Bihar was at the 15th position in the nation in terms of the number of cases registered on Monday.
On Tuesday, India reported 14,830 fresh COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours. Taking to the total tally of the infection reached 43,920,451. According to the Union Health Ministry data updated, the active cases reached to 1,47,512.
