New Delhi: A close relative of former Union minister RCP Singh was allegedly shot in his village Dharhara, which is in Nalanda district, police said. The victim alleged that the attacker belonged to JD(U) and told him that he should leave Singh's side otherwise he would be killed.
New Delhi: A close relative of former Union minister RCP Singh was allegedly shot in his village Dharhara, which is in Nalanda district, police said. The victim alleged that the attacker belonged to JD(U) and told him that he should leave Singh’s side otherwise he would be killed.
The incident took place in Silao police station area of Nalanda district. The doctor treating him said that his condition is stable and he has been referred to Patna. A doctor said, “Kumar Pragati has been shot, but his condition is fine now. He has been referred to Patna.”
Rajgir DSP Pradeep Kumar said that he has received information that Kumar Pragati alias Pintu has been attacked in Dharhara village of Nalanda district. He futher said,”Investigation is underway against the identified accused.”
Deputy Superintendent of Police Pradeep Kumar futher said, we have sent a police team to the hospital and another team is camping in Dharhara village. Investigation is ongoing. Reacting to the incident, Singh claimed that his “close relative” Pintu was shot for threatening to leave his side.
The former union minister took a dig at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over ‘gundaraj’ and said, “Nitish Kumar doesn’t have the guts to fight politically, that’s why they (JD(U)) are attacking my relatives and tell them They’re going to do that.” Destroy me… Gundaraj is going on in Bihar. When found, an attempt was made to kill him. He was shot and died.”
“He should leave my side or else he will be killed…He (the victim) is taking the name of a person who is from JDU,” the former union minister told media. Singh said, the victim was coming back from Asthawan assembly constituency meeting in Mustafapur village.
