Jamui: An unusual incident came to light when a man was found to be married to six women in four different states, which was busted by one of his brothers-in-law. He was caught red-handed when seen with another woman at the Jamui railway station in Bihar. Following his interrogation, he revealed to the police that his name is Chhotu and that he has six wives spread across four states.
He claimed that he is the father of four children from his first wife and two from the woman to whom he has no relation.
Chhotu Kumar belongs to Javatari village, which is under the Barhat police station’s jurisdiction. Vikas, one of his wives, and Manju’s brother went to Jamui railway station on Monday to catch a train for Kolkata; he saw Chhotu with a strange woman after that, and Vikas phoned his family regarding the matter.
His mother-in-law Kobia Devi told the police that Chhotu tied the knot with my daughter Manju in 2018, and both are blessed with two children. Chhotu left his wife around 1.5 years ago.
Police said that the culprit works as a singer in Deoghar’s Maa Sharda Orchestra. He kept his wives at different locations, like Chinawaria, Sunderkand, Ranchi, Sangrampur, Delhi, and Deoghar, and had children with everyone.
What police say?
The police said the complainants belong to family members of his second wife. No complaint has been registered in this regard so far. Cops are ready to probe the matter if a complaint is lodged. Vikas alleged that Chhotu entertained people through his singing, and he tied the knot wherever he performed his programme. His aims were to marry a woman, leave her, and run away, then marry again.
