Chhapra Firing: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Chhapra district of Bihar on Wednesday morning, where a well-known lawyer of the district, Ram Ayodhya Rai and his son were shot dead near State Highway Methwaliya in Mufassil police station area. Deceased Ram was an advocate of Ayodhya Rai Law Board and his son Sunil Rai also practiced law.

Chhapra Firing: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Chhapra district of Bihar on Wednesday morning, where a well-known lawyer of the district, Ram Ayodhya Rai and his son were shot dead near the State Highway Methwaliya in the Mufassil police station area. Deceased Ram was an advocate of Ayodhya Rai Law Board and his son Sunil Rai also practiced law.

According to the information, advocate Ram Ayodhya Rai (68) along with his son Sunil Rai (35) were coming to the court in the morning by bike from their house in Methwalia of Mufassil police station area. During this time, near Dudhalia bridge (Chhapra Central School), about half a kilometer from the house, five miscreants riding a bike started firing indiscriminately at both of them. After this all the criminals fled.

After the incident, the local people hurriedly took the father and son to Chhapra Sadar Hospital. Where the doctor declared both of them dead. On receiving the information, the relatives of the deceased reached the hospital and there was chaos as soon as they saw the dead body. On receiving information about the incident, the local police has started investigating the matter. On the instructions of SP Dr Kumar Ashish, the police has started raiding the surrounding areas.
