Awadh Bihari Chaudhary has become the new speaker of Bihar assembly. Nitish Kumar welcomed him in the house.
Patna: Awadh Bihari Chaudhary has elected the Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. After the resignation of Vijay Kumar Sinha, the Bihar assembly has got a new speaker. The official announcement of Choudhary’s election was made in the assembly. When the proceedings of the House started on Friday, the Assembly Secretary first read the entire process regarding the election of the Speaker in the House and announced his election. Senior leader of Rashtriya Janata Dal Awadh Bihari Chaudhary has been elected unopposed Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. In fact, only Awadh Bihari Chaudhary had filed nomination on Thursday, after which his election was held unopposed.
Deputy Speaker Maheshwar Hazari, who is conducting the House, urged Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Leader of Opposition Vijay Kumar Sinha to take the Speaker to the podium. Then CM Nitish Kumar and Leader of Opposition Vijay Kumar Choudhary took Speaker Avadh Bihari Chaudhary to the seat.
President Awadh Bihari Chaudhary said- “I am a farmer and have been raising the problems of farmers. I come from the land of Rajendra Babu. I consider myself lucky that I am close to Lalu Prasad Yadav ji. I would have got the strength to fight. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has skills like Shri Krishna Singh. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar welcomed Awadh Bihar Chaudhary in the house. Said that there is old experience, everyone will get the benefit of it. Be it the ruling party or the opposition.
Earlier, RJD had forwarded his name for the Speaker of the Assembly, after which his name was stamped in the meeting of the Legislature Party. Bihar Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha resigned from his post on Wednesday. Before resigning, in his speech, he had taken a jibe at Nitish Kumar for switching sides and forming the government with RJD.
Awadh Bihari Chaudhary, who became the new speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, is close to RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and is counted among his favorite leaders. After the establishment of RJD, Awadh Bihari Chaudhary will be the second president of the party. Earlier, Devnarayan Yadav has been the Speaker of the Assembly from RJD. He served as the Speaker of the Assembly from 1995 to 2000. After this, Sadanand Singh of Congress was the speaker from 2000 to 2005 with the support of RJD. When the Grand Alliance government was formed in Bihar for the first time, Vijay Kumar Choudhary became the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
Prior to Awadh Bihari Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha was the Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly in the Bihar Legislative Assembly in the NDA government. BJP leader Vijay Kumar Sinha has been winning elections continuously from Lakhisarai. The relationship between Vijay Kumar Sinha and Nitish Kumar was never good as speaker, it was also publicly revealed. And now BJP has made him Leader of Opposition in the Assembly. Since becoming the Leader of Opposition, Vijay Kumar Sinha has been an attacker on the Nitish Tejashwi government.
