Bihar: Stage collapses, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav addresses rally from bus roof in Sitamarhi

Bihar: Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav today addressed a large crowd from the roof of a bus in Sitamarhi, Bihar after the stage collapsed before reaching the site. Former Congress MLA from Riga, Amit Kumar Tunna, was addressing the gathering at the event.

He was surrounded by many people and the stage collapsed as it reportedly had more people than it could hold. Later, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar stood on a pedestal and addressed the huge gathering.

After the rally, on social media platform X he posted, “Keep giving me the confidence and assurance that I can always take care of your honor and self-respect. Hearty congratulations to the crowd that gathered in Sitamarhi.”

He was visiting Sitamarhi as part of his ‘Jan Vishvastra’, which will continue for 11 days, during which he will visit all 38 districts of the state. Today, His first public meeting was in Muzaffarpur after which he visited Sitamarhi and he will also visit Sheohar. His night halt will be in Motihari.

Before leaving for Muzaffarpur – the starting point of the ‘Jan Vishwas Yatra’ – Mr Yadav criticized his former boss and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, saying he had “no vision for the people of the state”. Pointing to Mr Kumar’s recent reversal when he broke away from ally RJD and joined the alliance with the BJP, he said:

He added,”He had no justifiable reason to leave us and go back to the BJP-led NDA .He feels he can trample.” The people’s mandate is at his feet (the mandate understands its own pair of shoes).” Jan Vishwas Yatra will conclude on March 1.
