Bihar: Woman constable commits suicide hanged herself on duty in Samastipur

New Delhi: A woman constable committed suicide while on duty in the 112 control room of the city police station complex in Samastipur, Bihar. Seeing the room closed while on duty, other policemen broke the gate door and hurriedly took him to Samastipur Sadar Hospital. Where the doctor declared him dead.

New Delhi: A woman constable committed suicide while on duty in the 112 control room of the city police station complex in Samastipur, Bihar, an police officer said. She was 28-year-old. When other policemen were searching for her, they found that the door was locked and they had to break the door when they realized that Archana had committed suicide. They took him to Samastipur Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

The female constable has been identified as Archana Kumari, female police number 777 of 2018 batch. Suman Kumar, husband of the deceased woman constable, is also working as a constable, who was suspended for the last two months. Both of them lived together in Samastipur. After the news of suicide of a female constable, there is a stir in the entire police department. Police have also recovered a suicide note from the female constable.

In this regard, Sadar DSP Sanjay Kumar Pandey said that the female constable has committed suicide. It was posted in 112 control room. Committed suicide while on duty. The reasons for suicide have also not been known. His family members have been informed. While ignoring the question of suicide notes, it was said that investigation will be done on this point also.

In the suicide note addressed to the SP, the female constable wrote that she has accused the Major of mentally harassing her for vacating the government room. Both of them lived in a rented house. On the verbal orders of the Headquarters DSP, she started living in a quarter of the police line, but the room was vacated by the Major accusing her husband of breaking the lock of the room. Through the suicide note, the deceased constable has demanded an impartial investigation into the case from the SP.

The constable’s husband, who reached the spot after receiving information about the death, says that he was given a room in the government quarters by the Major on the verbal orders of the Headquarters DSP. Later, the Major accused him of breaking the lock of the room and staying in the room, and one month’s rent was also deducted. Both husband and wife had also complained about this to the SP. The SP had also assured to release him, but Major Nayan Kumar used to misconvince the SP. Those people were being tortured by the Major.
