New Delhi: A bird collided with an Indigo aircraft coming from Surat in Gujarat to Delhi. After this the aircraft was diverted to Ahmedabad. DGCA has given this information. Quoting the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), news agency ANI reported that Surat-Delhi flight 6E-646 of ‘Indigo A320 aircraft VT-IZI’ was operating. While flying in Surat, a bird collided with the plane, after which it was diverted towards Ahmedabad. The plane generated N1 vibration which was 4.7 units. The plane landed safely in Ahmedabad.
Two days back a flight was diverted to Bhopal due to medical emergency
Earlier on Friday (February 24), Indigo’s ‘Flight 6E 2407’ had to be diverted to Bhopal due to a medical emergency. The airline had informed in a statement that the flight was coming from Cochin to Delhi. During the journey, the health of a passenger inside the plane deteriorated so much that he had to be taken to the hospital. For this the flight had to land in Bhopal. Indigo had expressed regret in its statement for the inconvenience caused to other passengers.
At the same time, a statement was also issued by Bhopal Airport. It said that after the plane landed in Bhopal, the airport team, without losing a second, immediately offloaded the passenger and shifted him safely to the nearest hospital.
Accident with Air India Express plane was averted
On the same day, during the take-off of an Air India Express flight from Calicut to Dammam, its tail hit the ground, after which the flight was diverted to Thiruvananthapuram. A complete emergency was declared at Thiruvananthapuram airport and the aircraft was landed safely. At the same time, all the 168 passengers aboard the plane also came out safely.
