France: World’s most popular and highly volatile cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, on Saturday touched the $60,012 mark for the first time ever.
The virtual currency today made a record-breaking plunge and hit an all-time high of $60,012 at 1149 GMT before dipping back down below the $60,000 mark, according to the website CoinMarketCap.
Bitcoin market had been experiencing wild volatility since March 2020. Bitcoin’s price had shot up from $18,000 to over $40,000 within a month. That’s over 100% price hike in such a short span of time.
Meanwhile, with January 2021’s sharp decline of 21%, experts had warned investors to give a second thought before investing in the extremely volatile Bitcoin market.
