BJP Announces Candidates for Bypolls in Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttarakhand

By-elections will take place for one seat each in Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, and Punjab. West Bengal, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh will have by-elections for four, two, and three seats, respectively.

By-elections will take place for one seat each in Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, and Punjab. West Bengal, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh will have by-elections for four, two, and three seats, respectively.

On Thursday, June 13, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced its candidates for the upcoming by-elections to the Legislative Assembly in Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, scheduled for July 10.

Dehra: Hoshiyar Singh Chambyal
Hamripur: Ashish Sharma
Nalagarh: Krishan Lal Thakur

Uttarakhand
Badrinath: Rajendra Singh Bhandari
Manglaur: Kartar Singh Bhadana

Madhya Pradesh
Amarwara (ST): Kamlesh Shah
Kamlesh Shah, a three-time MLA from Amarwara and former Congress member, joined the BJP during the Lok Sabha elections. His switch led to his resignation, making the Amarwara seat vacant and necessitating a by-election.

By-elections for 13 Assembly Seats on July 10
The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the by-election schedule for 13 Assembly seats in Bihar, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh.

Seats up for bypolls include

Bihar: Rupauli
West Bengal: Raiganj, Ranaghat Dakshin, Bagda, Maniktala
Tamil Nadu: Vikravandi
Madhya Pradesh: Amarwara
Uttarakhand: Badrinath, Manglaur
Punjab: Jalandhar West
Himachal Pradesh: Dehra, Hamirpur, Nalagarh

The ECI stated that the election notification will be issued on June 14. The last date to file nomination papers is June 21. Scrutiny of nominations will be on June 24, and the final date to withdraw nominations is June 26. Voting will occur on July 10, and votes will be counted on July 13.
