The visit of Amit Shah has come at a time when Karnataka BJP, which has been acting tough against the Congress-led State government, suddenly finds itself on the defensive mode, not able to articulate a clear stance on number of issues.

Demand for Lingayat, a community who support BJP the most, has turned out to be a tricky affair.

And that is where, BJP is keeping silence on for now. Anti-Hindi agitations and the State flag issue is not helping BJP either.

Shah is expected to hold number of meetings with party leaders and also chair a core-committee meeting, with state unit hopeful of a plan of action to wriggle out of these tricky situations.
