The BJP bagged the Gujarat Assembly Elections with a landslide victory.
Ahmedabad: The BJP bagged the Gujarat Assembly Elections with a landslide victory. The opposition laid down their arms without any fight. After the victory in Gujarat, union home minister Amit Shah tweeted that the state has “rejected those who make empty promises.”
The counting is going on, but the following are the party positions at the moment:
The BJP won 156 seats; the Congress won 17 seats; AAP bagged 5 seats, and the Samajwadi Party won a seat and opened its account; and others won three seats.
The BJP has been leading in Gujarat with 153 seats, while the Congress is far behind leading in 18 seats, and AAP is ahead in six constituencies. The BJP has already bagged two seats. It is a one-sided affair and there is no challenge for the saffron party. The Gujarat outcome would be yet another slap in the face for the Congress and AAP.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won yet again, leaving its opponents in the dust. The saffron party is preparing for a record seventh term on PM Modi’s home turf. The exit poll had predicted a landslide victory for the ruling party, which proved absolutely correct.
Two opposition parties in Gujarat, the Congress and the AAP, are nowhere on the Gujarat map. It means the people of the state rejected both parties. Despite the aggressive campaign by the top brass of AAP, the party failed to make any impact on the people of Gujarat. People from other states will not accept the Kejriwal’s Delhi model. The poll results will paint a clear picture of AAP becoming a national party and posing a pan-Indian challenge to the saffron party.
