RJD supremo Lalu Prasad once again found his family in controversy due to his son-in-law's presence in Tej Pratap's official meetings.
Patna: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad once more found his family entangled in a significant controversy after his eldest son-in-law Shailesh Kumar was seen at the departmental meeting of minister Tej Pratap. As images of Shailesh Kumar from the meeting spread online, the BJP also lambasted the RJD.
Shailesh Kumar is the husband of Lalu Prasad’s daughter Misa Bharti, who is also an MP.
On August 16, Tej Pratap took oath as minister in the Nitish Kumar cabinet, and on that same day, he assumed the charge of the environment, forest, and climate change department that had been assigned to him.
Tej Pratap chaired a review meeting on August 17 of the environment, forest, and climate change department at Aranya Bhawan. At this meeting, Tej Pratap’s brother-in-law was spotted with department officials.
The same story was repeated the next day, on August 18, when Tej Pratap organised another meeting with officials of the Bihar Pollution Control Board. His brother-in-law, Shailesh Kumar, was seen sitting along with Tej Pratap.
The moment the videos and pictures of both the meetings spread online on social media, the BJP took a jibe and questioned in what capacity Shailesh Kumar was present in both meetings.
Tej Pratap Yadav is not someone to be taken lightly. Shailesh can be spotted attending the meeting. I can vouch that of all the ministers from the RJD, Kota Kumar is the most gifted, knowledgeable, and clever. Taking a jibe at Shailesh, “If Shailesh Kumar is on his side, then Tej Pratap must emerge as the best minister in the government,” a BJP spokesperson tweeted.
