BJP MLA Nitesh Rane’s Controversial Statement: Offers Reward for Cutting Off Owaisi’s Tongue

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi took oath as a Lok Sabha member on Tuesday. During this, he raised slogans in favor of Palestine, after which the members of the ruling party created an uproar and the Chairman directed to remove it from the record. After the slogan raised by Owaisi, BJP MLA Nitesh Rane has given a controversial statement. I will reward whoever brings back Owaisi’s tongue.

Nitesh Rane said that if someone cuts out Owaisi’s tongue, I will give him a reward. Nitesh Rane is BJP MLA. He gave this statement in Kankavli, Maharashtra on Wednesday.

What is the whole matter?

Owaisi, elected member from Hyderabad for the fifth time, took oath in Urdu in the Lok Sabha. He prayed before taking the oath. After his oath, apart from raising the slogan of AIMIM for Muslims, he also raised slogans in favor of his state Telangana and Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar.

Owaisi also raised slogans in favor of Palestine. After his oath, some members of the ruling party raised objection, due to which an uproar started in the House. Radha Mohan Singh, sitting on the bench, assured the members that nothing would go on record except the oath. The uproar continued for a few minutes, after which the oath taking ceremony started again.

After this, Pro tem Speaker Bhartruhari Mahtab, who returned to the chair, said that only the original text of the oath is being recorded in the record. Mahtab said that I have said earlier also that please avoid mentioning anything other than the text of the oath. This should be followed.

Speaking to reporters outside Parliament, Owaisi said that he had said Jai Palestine inside the House. He said that other members are also saying different things. I said Jai Bhim, Jai Meem, Jai Telangana, Jai Palestine. How is this wrong? Tell me the provisions of the Constitution? You should also listen to others. Read what Mahatma Gandhi said about Palestine?
