New Delhi: Delhi Police have quizzed BJP MP Tejasvi Surya for two hours for his involvement in the protest against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence in March this year. During that period, protesters had broken the barricades and sparked a security scare.
The police had also questioned Tejasvi 10 days ago about his role in the protests.
Several BJP workers on March 30 started a protest against Arvind Kejriwal’s comments on the controversial movie ‘The Kashmir Files‘. They broke the CCTV camera and pushed the barricades as well.
The police sent notice to Tejasvi Surya twice, who was present during the protest. The BJP MP had said he was ready to be questioned whenever he was in Delhi.
The police said Mr Surya was questioned at his official residence on Ashoka Road “in the last week of June,” and he was shown security footage of BJP youth workers involved in a protest near Mr Kejriwal’s home.
Eight members of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha were arrested, led by Mr Surya.
