The mood in the Bharatiya Janata Party camp is upbeat after the thumping victory in four out of five states in the recently concluded assembly elections. The victory in Uttar Pradesh is the most fruitful. The state is important for the making of government in the centre. The UP alone sends 80 MPs to parliament.
BJP wants to make the event historic
The saffron party has been planning to make the oath-taking ceremony of Yogi Adityanath a mega event. The swearing-in ceremony will take place tomorrow. The BJP is mulling over making the event a historic one. Elaborate arrangements have been made for this event. Adityanath is set to be sworn-in as the UP CM for the second consecutive time.
All roads in Lucknow will lead to the spot where the grand event is set to take place. The gala event will take place at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow at 4 pm on March 25, Friday. A huge crowd is likely to be part of the historic moment in Lucknow tomorrow.
PM Modi to attend.
Adityanath Yogi will start his second innings as the chief minister of UP tomorrow. PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President JP Nadda, and Chief Ministers of many BJP-ruled states are likely to be present at this programme. Apart from these leaders, several opposition leaders and dignitaries are likely to be part of this event.
It is also being considered whether outgoing deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, who lost the election, can be reinstated in his old position.
Though the BJP secured a resounding win, Maurya lost his Sirathu seat.
Administration is prepared to deal with a large crowd
On the other hand, preparations are being made by the local administration to face a crowd of more than 60 thousand. However, given the enthusiasm of BJP workers, the number could go beyond the predicted number.
State General Secretary of Organization Sunil Bansal also held a virtual meeting regarding the preparations. A leaflet has also been sent from the party level.
Apart from the workers of the BJP, the MLAs are also allowed to be accompanied by their family members and supporters as well.
A long list of VVIPs
The BJP has prepared to invite VVIPs along with prominent leaders of all social classes from all districts. Social workers, writers, professionals, doctors, engineers, sages, and saints of religious monasteries and temples are also being invited to the oath-taking ceremony. A list of such people has been sought from the districts.
BJP vistaraks and pravasi workers employed in the assembly elections are also being invited to the function. Importantly, two workers from each area have been called to Lucknow the day before, and the party has made arrangements for accommodation and transport.
Similarly, BJP minister Brijesh Pathak also said that the workers are excited with the victory and now, after the UP assembly polls, the BJP is all set to take over all the seats in the legislative council.
The BJP has been finalising the names of ministers in Uttar Pradesh. Some new faces may be included in the new cabinet of Yogi Adityanath. He is the first chief minister in the state in 37 years to return to power after the completion of a full term.
