Munich/Germany: German automaker BMW has finally launched its affordable smallest all new 2022 sports bike G310RR. After announcing the prices of the new annually updated G 310 R naked street bike, BMW Motarrad India (BMW Motarrad India) on Friday announced the launch of the new 2022 G 310 RR (2022 G 310 RR) mid-level sports bike in the market. Of. The ex-showroom price of the new BMW G 310 RR bike is Rs 2.85 lakh for the standard variant and Rs 2.99 lakh for the Style Sport variant. The much-awaited fully-faired sport bike from BMW Motarrad India is based on the TVS Apache RR 310 entry-level sport bike and gets the same design, features and specifications.
BMW G 310 RR looks and design:
Talking about the look and design of the bike, the G 310 RR is equipped with the same faired design as the TVS. However, it gets a new exterior painted livery and a ‘BMW’ logo to differentiate it from the donor model. The company has not made any significant changes in its design elements. The front of the bike continues to be offered with a pointy tail end design with dual-beam LED headlamps, split seats, lower handlebars and LED taillights. The BMW version also comes with the same alloy wheel design, with the red colored frame peeking out from the fairing.
The 312.2cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit is expected to be carried over in the same state of tune – 34hp at 9,700rpm and 27.3Nm of torque at 7,700rpm. It should also come with ride modes – Rain, Urban and Sport like the Apache – which alter power and ABS sensitivity.
BMW G 310 RR engine and power:
The motorcycle is powered by the same 313cc, single-cylinder engine that generates 33.5 bhp power and 28 Nm peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The same engine is also used in the G 310 R and G 310 GS motorcycles, which are based on the same engine platform.
Post its launch in the Indian market, the G 310 RR sport bike will also be exported overseas where the company already sells existing naked and adventure bikes. With the announcement of the new bike, BMW Motorrad India is hoping to increase its sales numbers in the small, entry-level bike segment, which forms a major part of the bike maker’s sales.
BMW G 310 RR Feature:
It gets the same features as the motorcycle it is based on, which include all-LED lighting, a 5.0-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, a bi-directional quickshifter as well as traction control.
BMW G 310 RR: Price revealed
BMW Motorrad India is offering the new G 310 RR in two variants – RR and RR Style Sport, priced at Rs 2.85 lakh and Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.
The BMW G 310 RR will compete directly with motorcycles like the KTM 390 Duke, Kawasaki Ninja 300, and TVS Apache RR 310 in the sub-400cc sport bikes segment.
