Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone becomes 1st Indian actor to attend The Academy Museum Gala

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone has once again given the nation a big opportunity to feel proud of her global achievements as she became the first Indian to attend the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles. She is one such starlet. Already at the top of her game in the Hindi film industry, the actress has already found her footing across the world in Hollywood too. The 2023 Academy Museum Gala was held in Los Angeles last night which saw a bevy of stunning stars in attendance; from Meryl Streep and Oprah Winfrey to Selena Gomez and Nicola Peltz.

Deepika Padukone made the cut as reportedly the first Indian actor to be invited to the prestigious event. The star always brings her fashion A-game on the global stage and this event wasn’t any different either. For those who don’t know, the Academy Museum Gala is the second largest stage in the world after the Oscars which is organised by the same board. In fact, while at the beginning of this year, Deepika had created history by stepping on the stage to present an Indian song at the Oscars, now at the end of the year 2023, she has done something that has become an achievement.

During her appearance at the event, Deepika Padukone looked very beautiful in a blue velvet gown and minimal jewellery. To attend the 2023 Academy Museum Gala, Deepika Padukone was snapped on the red carpet wearing a stunning blue velvet gown. Ideal for a night steeped in Hollywood glamour, Deepika’s red carpet ensemble featured a single shoulder strap leading to a strapless neckline on the other side

She had opted for minimal makeup and had her hair opened down. She completed her look with diamond rings, earrings, and bracelet. In such a situation, fans could not control their excitement because their favorite actress has once again made everyone proud by representing the country on such a big global platform. The straight fitted form led to a circular train at the end of the length. The tailored silhouette looked crisp with clean lines sans embellishment was enough to make a sartorial impact in the most minimally chic way. She paired it with diamond hanging earrings, bracelets and rings on her fingers.

Deepika kept her beauty look bronze-shaded and beautiful to pair with the jewel-toned gown. Her matte-finished brown eye makeup was framed with dark brows, sunkissed cheeks and nude-toned lips. Both Deepika’s films of 2023, Pathaan and Jawan have broken records by earning more than Rs 2200 crore worldwide. She was one of the few Indians who got on the cover of Time magazine. She presented an Oscar-winning song ‘Naatu Naatu’ on the biggest stage like the Oscars and now this achievement from LA has also been included in her list of achievements.

On the work front

It has been a stellar year for Deepika with two big and successful releases, and now the actor has two big releases lined up next year. In the month of January, two big films of DP Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD and Siddharth Anand’s Fighter will be released on the big screen. Global stars will also be seen in fresh pairs in these films. While she will be sharing screen space with Hrithik for the first time in YRF’s Fighter, it is said to be India’s first film in the planned aerial action franchise.

On the other hand, she will be seen in the upcoming Indian epic science fiction dystopian film Kalki 2898 AD alongside Baahubali fame actor Prabhas. It is written and directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by C. Aswani Dutt of Vyjayanti Movies.
