New Delhi: The Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police today summoned Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez to join the investigation in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving Sukesh Chandrashekhar. According to the report, Jacqueline will reach EOW’s office at Mandir Marg at around 11 am today. Let us tell you that he was earlier asked to appear on Monday but due to some reasons it was postponed.
According to the report, Jacqueline Fernandez had written an email to the Delhi Police on the summons received on Monday, in which she had requested to postpone the questioning on Monday. The police had accepted his request. After this, a new summon was issued to him again. Earlier in the first week of September, EOW had recorded the testimony of another Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi in this case.
Chandrashekhar was arrested for allegedly cheating and extorting some high-profile people including Aditi Singh, wife of former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh. The Enforcement Directorate has questioned several Bollywood actors and models for their alleged links to Chandrashekhar. In April last year, Chandrashekhar was arrested in another money laundering case related to the 2017 Election Commission bribery case, allegedly involving a former AIADMK leader.
