New Delhi: A breaking news is coming from the film industry where famous Indian comedian Raju Srivastava has suffered a heart attack. He has been admitted to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi. He suffered a heart attack during a workout in the gym. Doctors are engaged in treatment. “Raju sir suffered a mild heart attack while working out. He is admitted to AIIMS, but he is doing fine. He is conscious, ” his team confirmed.
Born in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, the comic timing of Raju Srivastava has been appreciated by the whole world and he has also been awarded the title of Comedy King. For the first time in the TV show ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’, Raju made people laugh by coming on TV. His performance in this show was highly praised. Raju was also given the title of ‘The King of Comedy’ in this show.
58-year-old Raju Srivastava has been a part of several television shows like The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Season 3 of Bigg Boss, Dekh Bhai Dekh and films like Bombay to Goa and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
Raju Srivastava was working out on a treadmill when he fell down at Cult gym in South Delhi area. The comedian-actor has been in the capital since August 1. He had gone from Mumbai to Udaipur on July 29. After performing there on July 30, he returned to Delhi to meet his two brothers and friends.
Raju Srivastava already has a medical history related to the heart. He has had stents before. At this time the doctors of AIIMS are deciding upon the kind of operation to be performed.
The 58-year-old comedian will be kept under observation for a couple of days before he is discharged.
Raju Srivastav has also had cameos in few Bollywood films including Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan starrer ‘Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon’.
Commenting on Raju’s health condition, comedian Sunil Pal said that he is completely out of danger now and is recovering. He also wished him a speedy recovery and assured viewers of his improving condition.
Raju Srivastav recently featured on India’s Laughter Champion, aired on Sony entertainment television.
