Mumbai: On Sunday, Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan and his Father Salim Khan received a threat letter, said Mumbai police.
According to the source, An FIR has been filed at Bandra Police station against an unknown person and probe is underway. The move assumes significance since it comes days after Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead allegedly by the members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which had threatened Salman Khan in 2018.
Lawrence Bishnoi’s death threat to Salman Khan was linked to the black buck poaching case of 1998, in which Salman Khan was one of the accused. Lawrence Bishnoi is lodged in Delhi’s Tihar jail and is being questioned by the police on the killing of Sidhu Moose Wala.
Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by a group of attackers on last Sunday at Jawahar Ke village, a day after his security was pared down by the Punjab government. His body had 19 bullet wounds and he died within 15 minutes of being shot, according to the post-mortem report.
On work front, Salman will see next in Tiger 3 along with Katrina Kaif. Recently, Salman shared the first look of his film Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali will also feature Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, andZaheer Iqbal. The movie is helmed by Farhad Samji and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film is scheduled to release on December 30, 2022. Shah Rukh also has a cameo in the film reportedly.
On Instagram, Salman gave a glimpse of himself from the sets of the upcoming film Tiger 3 and captioned the picture, “Shooting commences for my new film ….”
