Bomb Scare: Ranchi’s Birsa Munda Airport threatened to blow up for the 2nd day in a row, probe on

Ranchi: In yet incident Ranchi’s airport is receiving bomb threats. The threat to blow up Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, has been given once again on Friday. This is the second time in 24 hours, when the airport authority has received such a threat. This time it has been said through text message that if he does not get 20 lakh rupees, then the airport will be blown up. This time a text message has been sent from the same number from which the threat was made on Thursday. Immediately after this threat, the security agency and the local police swung into action.

The entire airport has been checked by CISF, local police and airport security team. According to the officials, it seems to be a fake call. The number from which the threat has been made, in the preliminary investigation, belongs to a person from Nalanda in Bihar.

It may be mentioned that on Thursday also there was a threat to blow up the Birsa Munda airport. An unknown person called. The caller threatened and said, “Our comrades are present inside with the same. If our demand is not accepted, the comrades have bombs in their bags, they will be blown up”. On Thursday too, the Bomb Disposal Squad inspected the airport, including the terminal building. After investigation, nothing objectionable was found anywhere. An FIR has been registered in the airport OP regarding the matter.

After this it was told that the name of the caller has been known to the police. His name is being told as Ritesh and he is a resident of Nalanda in Bihar. Airport director KL Aggarwal admitted that a threat call had come. The police was immediately informed about this. The investigation did not find anything suspicious at the airport.
