New Delhi: A panic spread after bomb threat call was received in the Delhi-Jammu Tawi Rajdhani Express on Friday night. After getting the information, the train has been stopped at Sonipat station. City police station in-charge including administrative officers, GRP and RPF reached the spot with the police force. Later, a rumor about the bomb in the train came out and after that the train was sent to Jammu at around 1.30 pm.
New Delhi: A panic spread after bomb threat call was received in the Delhi-Jammu Tawi Rajdhani Express on Friday night. After getting the information, the train has been stopped at Sonipat station.
City police station in-charge including administrative officers, GRP and RPF reached the spot with the police force. Northern Railway said that a team of bomb disposal squad, sniffer dogs from Rohtak and police reached the spot and carried out a thorough inspection of the train.
Rajdhani Express left Delhi for Jammu Tawi at around 09:20 pm on Friday night. Meanwhile, someone in the railway control room informed about a bomb inside the express train. Someone informed the headquarter control room over the phone that there was a bomb in the Rajdhani Express train.
Northern Railway CPRO Deepak Kumar said that the first team reached the spot at 11:40 pm, while the second one also reached after some time. The train remained standing at Sonipat railway station till one o’clock in the night.
As soon as the information about the case was received, ACP Narsingh, city station in-charge Devendra Kumar, GRP in-charge Mahabir Singh and RPF station in-charge Yudhveer reached the spot along with the police force. Every bogie of the train was vacated and thoroughly searched. Later, a rumor about the bomb in the train came out and after that the train was sent to Jammu at around 1.30 pm.
