Bomb threat created panic in many schools of Lucknow, students were evacuated, chaos ensued

Lucknow: On Monday, Several schools in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow received bomb threats triggering panic among students and staff members. Today morning, the schools received an email threatening to blow them up. After receiving information about this, police teams and bomb disposal squad reached the schools and started investigations.

Lucknow: On Monday, Several schools in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow received bomb threats triggering panic among students and staff members. Today morning, the schools received an email threatening to blow them up.

After receiving information about this, police teams and bomb disposal squad reached the schools and started investigations. Chaos broke out at Vibgyor School in Gomti Nagar and St. Mary’s School in Kapurthala after receiving threat mails at around 8 am.

After this news, All school children were taken out of classrooms to the playground and a message was sent to their parents asking them to take them back home. The police said after the prime investigations that no incriminating object was found in the schools and the cyber cell was investigating the origin of these emails.

Giving details about this incident, Deepak Pandey, Gomti Nagar Inspector said that a bomb threat was reported at 9 am, following which a search operation was conducted in the schools.He said, “Efforts are being made to identify the sender of the email. However, no suspicious object or explosive has been found anywhere.”
