A bomb threat incident occurred involving a Vistara flight that was en route to Pune from Delhi. As a result, there was a temporary disruption in operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.

The bomb threat itself was communicated via a phone call to the GMR call center, which is responsible for managing communications and services at the airport. The call was received at 7:30 am, a time when the process of boarding passengers onto the aircraft was already underway. This information comes from individuals who are familiar with the details of the matter.

As a precautionary measure and in the interest of passenger safety, the decision was made to promptly disembark the passengers from the airplane. They were relocated to a safe area away from the aircraft.

Amidst this situation, the passengers on board the flight have reportedly remained calm. The cabin crew has been actively attending to their needs by providing beverages and snacks, which helps to maintain a sense of comfort and normalcy.

Although the incident caused a delay and disruption, the expectation is that the flight will resume its journey as soon as authorities grant the necessary approval. The resumption of the flight will depend on receiving the “go-ahead” from relevant authorities, who will assess the safety and security of the aircraft.
