The two groups of Shiv Sena are set to hold two separate Dussehra rallies in Mumbai on Wednesday. This unusual incident will take place for the first time in the 56-year history of the Shiv Sena.

When the incident occurred, a group of female Uddhav supporters were travelling from Nashik to Mumbai to attend the Dussehra rally. They claimed that Shinde group followers made objectionable gestures while their bus was overtaking the vehicle they were riding in. After that, a fight broke out as Uddhav Thackeray’s supporters thrashed their opposite numbers.

Uddhav Thackeray’s faction has been holding its rally as usual at the historic Shivaji Park in Dadar, in central Mumbai. This location has been associated with the Shiv Sena since the party’s inception in 1966.This year, the rebel group led by CM Shinde is set to organise their event at the MMRDA ground at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in the suburbs.

Incidentally, MMRDA ground is located in the vicinity of ‘Matoshree’, the personal residence of the Thackeray family in suburban Bandra.
