Breaking: 3 J’khand MLAs found with huge cash suspended by Congress after backlash

New Delhi: In the breaking development in the case, in which 3 MLAs found with huge cash in SUV now suspended by Congress after backlash. Congress has suspended three of its MLAs from Jharkhand, Irfan Ansari, Rajesh Kachhap and Naman Bixal. These three MLAs were detained in West Bengal yesterday after a huge amount of cash was found in their vehicle.

MLA Anoop Singh has filed a case with state president Rajesh Thakur at Argora police station for destabilizing the government. Confirming that the JPCC president has said that an FIR has been lodged in Ranchi in the matter of destabilizing the Jharkhand government.

On Saturday, police intercepted an SUV in which Congress MLAs Irfan Ansari, Rajesh Kachchap and Naman Bixal Kongari were travelling on national highway-16 at Ranihati in Howrah and found a huge amount of cash in the vehicle.

Jharkhand Congress general secretary and in-charge Avinash Pandey has said, “In the coming days, whether any public representative, party’s responsible office-bearer or any worker, we have the information of everyone. Whoever is found connected or involved in this, the party will take action against him.

A huge amount of cash was recovered from the vehicle of three Congress MLAs of Jharkhand in West Bengal’s Howrah district on Saturday night. On the basis of a tip-off, the police stopped the vehicle in which MLAs Irfan Ansari, Rajesh Katchap and Naman Bixal Congri were traveling on National Highway-16 in Ranihati under Panchla police station area.

Howrah Superintendent of Police (Rural) Swati Bhangalia had said, “We had specific inputs that a huge amount of money was being transported in a black car. We started checking the vehicles and intercepted this SUV in which three Jharkhand MLAs were travelling. A huge amount of cash was found in the vehicle,”

“Cash counting machines are being brought in to ascertain the total amount. The MLAs are also being questioned about the source of the money and where it was being taken to,” she added.

Jharkhand’s independent MLA Saryu Roy has asked the Congress to tell whether the MLAs were returning to Jharkhand with cash or were going from Jharkhand to some other state. He asked, which state is the source of wealth – Assam, Bengal or Jharkhand?

West Bengal minister Shashi Panja has demanded a detailed inquiry into the matter. “ED officer, are you taking cognizance of this matter or is the matter not so serious? Machines have been called for counting the cash recovered from the car in which three Jharkhand MLAs were traveling.
