New Delhi: The Government of India is in action to rescue the Indians trapped in Afghanistan and efforts are on to bring back the people. Another C-17 aircraft of the Indian Air Force from Afghanistan coming from Kabul can land today (August 20) at Hindan Air Base in Ghaziabad.
290 people can be brought back by C-17 aircraft
It is reported that this time 290 people trapped in Afghanistan can be brought to India by C-17 aircraft. Out of these 290 people, 220 are Indians and 70 are citizens of Afghanistan. It has been learned from the sources that some Sikhs are also included in them. Those are the Sikhs of Afghanistan, who appealed to the Indian government to get them out of there.
Afghanistan MPs can also come to India
It is reported from sources that this time some Afghan MPs can also come to India in Operation Airlift 2. No concrete information has been received about when this aircraft will land at Hindan Air Base, but 5 buses have reached Hindon Airbase early in the morning to pick up these people here.

For this, data of all Indians living in Afghanistan is being prepared and details are being prepared 24 hours a day from the helpline number. The Afghan Cell of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA’s Afghan Cell) is active 24 hours and can be contacted via phone and email.
400 to 500 Indians are estimated to be stranded
The Afghan Cell (MEA’s Afghan Cell) is functional since 16 August and online applications for visas are being accepted. All Indian employees have returned from the Indian Embassy in Kabul and only 35-40 local people are present in the embassy. Although the figure of the total number of Indians in Afghanistan is not yet available, but 400 to 500 Indians are estimated to be there. Air force campaign is going on for all the Indians who reached the airport.

All the Indians trapped in Afghanistan are being contacted and there are reports of trouble for the people trapped in far flung areas.
