Army Personnel Feared Drowned in Poshana River: Naib Subedar Kuldeep Singh and a jawan of the Indian Army were swept away in a sudden flood while crossing a river while patrolling in Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir. There is a possibility of drowning of both the soldiers of the Indian Army in the swollen stream of Poshana river.
"A sudden flood occurred in Bagipul area of Mandi district near Parashar lake, stranding over 200 people, including tourists and locals, near Baggi bridge on Mandi Parashar road," the official said.

Among the foreign tourists stranded due to North Sikkim floods, 23 are from Bangladesh, 10 from America and three from Singapore. Along with this, officials said that 345 cars and 11 motorbikes are stuck at various places in North Sikkim.
