Senior police officials told that the woman Sultana died due to excessive bleeding, the accused Chand Peer consumed poison.
Bengaluru: A young man attacked a woman on a busy road in Davanagere, Karnataka. He killed the woman by stabbing her several times with a knife. A CCTV footage of this incident has come to the fore. In the video, the woman Sultana is seen sitting on the road stopping the scooter. She is talking to a young man standing there.
Suddenly that young man starts stabbing her. He hits hard, due to which Sultana falls on the road. After this, the young man starts his motorcycle and runs away from the scene. Later that young man tried to commit suicide by consuming poison.
Police said that Saadat alias Chand was in love with Peer Sultana. Though she was not interested in him. Even his family members did not agree to his request to get married. When Sultana’s marriage was fixed with another person, this enraged Chand Pir and he conspired to kill her.
Chand Pir stabbed Sultana several times with a knife on a busy road. Both were taken to the hospital. Senior police officials said that Sultana died due to excessive bleeding, while Chand Peer is battling for life.
