CBI arrestted seven more culprits in connection with Birbhum massacre in West Bengal thak took place on March 21, this year.
Birbhum: At least 10 people died in the Birbhum violence in West Bengal in March this year. The incident took a political colour and the relationship between the BJP and the TMC further deteriorated. Both parties never remain behind in attacking each other’s weak points.
The investigating agency, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), on Tuesday arrested seven more accused in connection with the Birbhum killings in West Bengal.
The names of the accused have been identified as Bikir Ali, Noor Ali, Sher Ali alias Kalo, Asif Sheikh, Joshif Hossain, Jamirul Sheikh alias Ujir and Khairul Sheikh.
The accused will be produced before a court in Rampurhat on Tuesday.
Earlier, the central probe agency made an arrest of nine culprits for their alleged involvement in the killing of several people in Birbhum.
In this incident, which occurred on March 21, ten people, including six women and two children, were charred to death. The guilty parties threw petrol bombs at several houses in Bogtui.
