CBI calls Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia questioning in connection with Delhi excise duty scam

Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been called again by the CBI for questioning. Manish Sisodia himself has given this information by tweeting. Manish Sisodia has been summoned by the CBI in connection with the alleged scam in Delhi’s new liquor policy. Manish Sisodia tweeted, “CBI has called again yesterday.

They have used the full power of CBI, ED against me. Raid at home, searched bank locker, found nothing against me anywhere. I have made arrangements for good education for the children of Delhi. They want to stop him. I have always cooperated with the investigation and will continue to do so.”

Magunta Raghav Reddy was arrested by the Central Investigation Agency Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Delhi Excise Policy scam case on 11 February 2023 itself. Magunta Raghava Reddy is said to be the son of YSR Congress Party MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy. According to sources, the arrested accused is the owner of a company named Raghav Balaji Group and son of YSR Congress Party MP. This is the third arrest in this case within the last one week.

The Enforcement Directorate and the CBI have claimed that irregularities were committed while revising Delhi’s excise duty policy with the connivance and bribery of a lobby known as ‘South Group’. According to the CBI, Kavita’s former auditor Buchi Babu represented the ‘South Group’ in the case. The agency had arrested him for not cooperating.
