Patna: CBI raids 15 places linked to RJD President Lalu Yadav CBI raids Rabri Devi’s official residence in Patna. This raid started about two hours ago. It is being told that along with Patna, the CBI has raided 15 places in Delhi and other cities simultaneously. The whole matter is being told related to the tender scam during Lalu Yadav’s tenure as Railway Minister.
It is alleged that when Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister, he had given jobs to many of his acquaintances in the Railways. In return, his family members got land at cheap rates. The CBI suspects that in this case, money was probably not even given in lieu of buying the land. According to sources, the CBI team is raiding a total of 17 places in Delhi and Bihar. However, no information has been given by the CBI yet.
Lalu Yadav is currently in Delhi. His daughter Misa Bharti is also in Delhi. Rabri Devi is at her residence.
The 73-year-old veteran leader walked out of jail last month after the Jharkhand High Court granted him bail in the ₹ 139 crore Doranda Treasury scam case. A CBI special court had in February sentenced him to five years in prison in the case. He was also fined ₹ 60 lakh.
The treasury scam case was the fifth fodder scam case in which Mr Yadav was convicted.
