New Delhi: On Thursday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered an FIR under the Prevention of Corruption Act against seven people, including former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, in a spy case related to the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) 'Feedback Unit'.
New Delhi: On Thursday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered an FIR under the Prevention of Corruption Act against former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and seven others in a spy case related to the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) ‘Feedback Unit’. The name of CM Arvind Kejriwal’s advisor is also included in this new FIR.
Manish Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on February 26 in the Delhi Excise Policy case. Apart from Sisodia, the 5 other people who have been booked include the then Vigilance Secretary Sukesh Kumar Jain, retired DIG, CISF and Special Advisor to CM and Joint Director Feedback Unit, retired Joint Deputy Director Pradeep Kumar Punj (Deputy Director FBU), retired Asst.
Commandant CISF Satish Khetrapal (Feed Back Officer), Gopal Mohan (Advisor to Delhi CM) and one other name.Reacting to the CBI action, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plan is to slap several false cases against his former deputy Manish and keep him in custody for a long period. “Sad for the country!,” he said in a tweet.

The CBI registered the FIR on March 14, 14 days after the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) gave its nod to prosecute Manish Sisodia. He was booked on charges of criminal conspiracy, dishonest misappropriation of property, criminal betrayal by a public servant, forgery with intent to defraud, using forged document as genuine, manipulation of accounts and criminal misconduct by a public servant.
The FIR states, “On March 9, a written complaint was received from Vijay A Desai, Inspector, CBI (Anti-Corruption Branch). A case has been registered against Manish Sisodia, the then Deputy CM of Delhi, Sukesh Kumar Jain, the then Secretary Vigilance in Delhi Government, Rakesh Kumar Sinha, retired DIG of CISF – the then Special Adviser to the Chief Minister and Joint Director (FBU). Along with this, Pradeep Kumar Punj, retired Joint Deputy Director of Intelligence Bureau and then Deputy Director (FBU), Satish Khetrapal, retired Assistant Commandant of CISF and serving as Feed Back Officer, Gopal Mohan, Anti-Corruption Advisor to Chief Minister of Delhi and A case has been registered against many others. “
