Nine different forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped for 9 days during Chaitra Navratri. Ghatasthapana is performed on Chaitra Pratipada Tithi and fasting is performed after worshiping the girl child on Ashtami and Navami Tithi. Devotees of Maa Durga observe fast for 9 days of Chaitra Navratri and perform worship and meditation. According to the Hindu calendar, there are 4 Navratris in a year, in which Chaitra and Sharadiya Navratri have special significance. There are some rules of Ghatasthapana which are necessary to be followed, otherwise the fasting and worship become futile. Pratipada Tithi will take place on March 21 at 10.53 in the night. That’s why Navratri will start with Kalash Sthapana on March 22 with sunrise. This year the arrival of mother is on a boat, which is called happiness-prosperity factor. 9 forms of mother will be worshiped during the entire 9 days of Navratri. This time Chaitra Navratri will be of full nine days. This time there is a combination of three Sarvartha Siddhi, three Ravi Yoga, two Amrit Siddhi Yoga and Guru Pushya. Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga will take place on 23, 27 and 30 March. Amrit Siddhi Yoga will be held on March 27 and 30 and Ravi Yoga will be held on March 24, 26 and 29. On the last day of Navratri, a great coincidence of Guru Pushya Yoga is taking place on Shri Ram Navami.
