New Lok Sabha Speaker: The swearing-in ceremony of the NDA coalition government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) has been completed for the third time in a row on Sunday in the Rashtrapati Bhavan located in Delhi. In addition to the Prime Minister, 30 ministers are included in the cabinet of the new government. Apart from this, five independent charge ministers and 36 ministers of state were sworn in. At the same time, departments were also divided on Monday. However, suspense still remains regarding the post of Lok Sabha Speaker. Meanwhile, there is news that a woman MP from BJP can hold this post.
According to a media report, Andhra Pradesh BJP state president and three-time MP D. Purandeswari can be made the Lok Sabha Speaker. If sources are to be believed, after the formation of the cabinet, the NDA government has to take a decision on the name of the Speaker of the Lok Sabha.
D. Purandeshwari, besides being a woman MP of BJP, is also a relative of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President Chandrababu Naidu. Before the swearing-in ceremony of the new government, there was speculation that Chandrababu Naidu’s party would stake claim to the post of Lok Sabha Speaker. It is believed that an agreement has been reached between BJP and TDP on the name of D. Purandeshwari. Now the official announcement on this is awaited.
