Mumbai: Delhi Police has issued fresh summons against Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez in money laundering case. According to the summons issued, the actress has now been ordered to appear on September 14. Earlier in this case, the actress was ordered to appear on September 12 as per the summons issued earlier. But due to some pre-scheduled commitments, the actress sought a second date from the police expressing her inability to be present on the scheduled date.Earlier in the day, the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police had postponed the questioning of the actress on Monday.

Also, the police had informed that another summon would be issued to Jacqueline in this regard. In fact, the actress had informed the Delhi Police through email that due to certain commitments already made, she would not be able to attend the investigation to be held on September 12, after which she had also demanded a new date.

Significantly, the Delhi Police has summoned Jacqueline Fernandez to join the investigation in the alleged extortion case of Rs 200 crore involving Sukesh Chandrashekhar. The ED, in its charge sheet, had named Jacqueline Fernandez in money laundering cases.

Jacqueline Fernandez has appeared for questioning in front of the ED several times since the name of Jacqueline Fernandez surfaced in the money laundering case. Jacqueline Fernandez was also questioned in this case on 30 August and 20 October 2021.

During this, Jacqueline Fernandez admitted that she has received many expensive gifts from Chandrashekhar. Sukesh Chandrasekhar, a native of Bengaluru, Karnataka, is currently lodged in a Delhi jail and has more than 10 criminal cases registered against him. Let us tell you that while being lodged in Rohini Jail, Chandrashekhar has been accused of extortion of Rs 200 crore.
